Dr Neil Chester

Dr Neil Chester (Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Sciences) is an academic member of staff with teaching duties in exercise physiology, sports nutrition and research methods. Neil is Chair of the School’s Research Ethics Committee and sits on the University’s Research Ethics Committee. Neil’s main research interests are in the area of drug use in sport with a particular focus on anti-doping. Neil is a member of the British Association for Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) and sits on the BASES Clean Sport Interest Group Steering Committee. In addition to research in the area of anti-doping, Neil also works closely with UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) on a consultancy basis.
