Students at the Heart Conference 2025 submissions now open

Submissions for the Students at the Heart Conference (SATHC) 2025 are now live.

The 2025 conference will take place on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 June on campus at the Student Life Building and Redmonds Building.

Those wanting to make a submission have until the deadline on 7 February 2025 to do so.

Call for submissions now live

Submissions are now open for the Students at the Heart Conference to submit a proposal for a 25-minute session, 5-minute lightning talk or 5-minute poster presentation.

Submissions are welcomed from staff, students, and collaborative partners across all departments, including professional services, academics, technical teams, and researchers. Whether you're exploring new teaching methods, advancing technological approaches, implementing projects, or developing supportive resources and systems, we want to hear your stories and insights.

Proposals can focus on best practice approaches, diversity and inclusion, support and wellbeing, inclusive learning environments, collaboration, assessment and feedback. However, proposals on other relevant topics are also welcome. We encourage all talks and posters to embrace our core value of placing students at the heart of everything we do. When writing your proposal, you may wish to refer to the LJMU Strategy 2030.

What is the Students at the Heart Conference?

The Students at the Heart Conference is a space for our staff, students, and partners to come together to share ideas, learn from each other and celebrate our successes. The two-day event is an opportunity to exchange information, hear about different perspectives and practices and connect with people from across the university and beyond.
