Dr. Moustafa Haj Youssef is a distinguished academic specialising in International Strategic Management, with a prolific career dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice in the field. He is currently a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moores University, and a Visiting Lecturer at the triple-accredited Open University Business School.

Dr. Haj Youssef's research portfolio is both extensive and impactful, concentrating on strategic leadership, managerial discretion, gender-focused entrepreneurship, and corporate governance. His scholarly work has been published in numerous prestigious journals, including the International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship, Cross Cultural & Strategic Management, Journal of Management Education, Entrepreneurship Research Journal, International Studies of Management & Organisation, and Corporate Governance: The International Journal of Business in Society, among others. Additionally, Dr. Haj Youssef has served as a principal investigator and key contributor to several significant research projects and grants. Notably, he is leading a major study on entrepreneurship in the MENA region, which was awarded a grant of a quarter of a million USD by the Templeton World Charity Foundation.

In his academic roles, Dr. Haj Youssef has consistently demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentorship. He leads modules in Strategic Management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and is an official affiliate for the Microeconomics of Competitiveness network developed by the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School. His dedication to education has been recognised through multiple teaching awards and outstanding student satisfaction scores. As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Chartered Management and Business Educator, Dr. Haj Youssef is committed to fostering academic excellence and innovation.
