Faculty of Arts Professional and Social Studies

I teach Story Origins, The Fantastic, Character & Story, and two Screenwriting modules in the Creative Writing Department, and have a background in songwriting, prose fiction, and screenwriting.

I Have written, performed, and recorded 14 albums worth of songs with various collaborators since the 1980s, written screenplays for an independent feature film, and two short films, and published a fantasy novel, which was part of my successful PhD submission.

My latest album, 'The Teller' (2024) is an 11-song folk-horror song cycle that forms the basis for a feature-length screenplay, and novella, both in progress.
