Mentors needed to support Girls' Network in Merseyside schools

Our charity partner, The Girls’ Network, are recruiting new mentors in our region ahead of the new school year and they need women from all backgrounds to apply.

The Girls' Network inspires girls aged 14 to 19 from the least advantaged communities by connecting them to a mentor and network of professional women. Mentors help girls to develop self-confidence and a more positive vision of the future.

If you have more than three years of professional experience in any role and can offer around an hour a month of your time, then you could be perfectly placed to be a mentor to a girl in Merseyside as part of our partnership with the charity. You’ll also get to develop your own skills and network with other women mentors from other organisations.

Find out more about the application process, checks, training and mentor matching.

Join an online information session in July or August

In just 30 minutes, The Girls’ Network will share why they were founded, why their work is needed more than ever, and how you can join their mission to ensure all girls and young women can reach for their unlimited futures.

There’s no obligation to sign up to anything afterwards, just a chance to hear more about the charity and ask questions. Sessions will take place on Zoom and you can register on The Girls’ Network website.

  • Wednesday 15 July at 12.30pm
  • Friday 31 July at 12pm
  • Monday 10 August at 5pm
