Temporary road closure but building access unchanged

A temporary road closure is being put in place as part of the work to redevelop the Henry Cotton Building but access to the building remains unchanged.

The university’s contractor, VINCI, is removing the temporary roof from the building, which will require a 450ft crane on site to dismantle structural elements and beams.

As a result, Fontenoy Street will be closed from Monday 19 October until Friday 23 October.

Staff and students will still be able to access the building (which is being renamed the Kitty Wilkinson Building) in the usual way via the temporary entrance on Truman Street.

For that week only, Primrose Hill and Truman Street will revert to two-way traffic.

The works are transforming the building to provide flexible, modern new facilities for students and staff, and create a bright, attractive look and feel.
