As a new academic year begins, it’s really important to remember three simple steps to keep your data safe. 

Online security is a serious subject – criminals want your data and are working hard to get it. It’s really important for our students and staff to look after their data and privacy and not become a victim of cyber crime. 

Three simple ways to protect your digital privacy: 

  • Create a long, strong password and don’t use the same password for multiple accounts  

  • Always lock your screen before leaving your computer (or don’t leave your unlocked computer unattended)  

  • Beware of scams and phishing emails and always think twice before clicking
