  • not sure where to go for help
  • dealing with personal challenges affecting your studies
  • feeling lonely
  • just needing a chat

You don’t have to wait until things get worse — we’re here to support you early.

What support looks like

Sometimes all that’s needed is a chat, so come see us!

Should you need more, then we can help with that too:

  1. 1:1 support

    • Friendly one-to-one conversations.
    • Someone to listen and help you plan next steps.
    • Regular check-ins if you need ongoing support.
  2. Personalised action plans

    • Simple “get back on track” plans.
    • Clear, achievable steps tailored to your situation.
  3. Workshops and group support

    • Sessions on staying engaged and managing your studies
  4. Connecting you to the right support

    • Academic skills.
    • Wellbeing services.
    • Specialist teams across the university.

All support is confidential, supportive and focused on helping you succeed.

How it works

  1. Get in touch (or we might contact you if we’re concerned)
  2. Have a chat – we’ll listen and understand what’s going on
  3. Make a plan together
  4. Stay supported with follow-ups if you need them.

We’ll work at your pace — there’s no pressure.

She is passionate about youth engagement, particularly the social mobility of educational institutions, and is looking forward to helping our students succeed! When not working, you can usually find her reading her kindle or completing a sudoku while drinking a Monster energy drink.

Working with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, she has developed strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Faye is passionate about using these skills to support students and help them overcome barriers. Outside of work you will probably find Faye on a walk with her golden lab or in a coffee shop somewhere.

If you see George’s face on posters anywhere on your travels that’ll be a shout out from us so do take a read.
