The Organisational Development team are here to support all staff with change, growth, and improvement. We provide development support across the university at a team and individual level.

- The OD team, alongside colleagues within HR and collaborative partners across LJMU, support the delivery of the 2030 People Plan.

- Staff Development Calendar
- The OD team work in partnership with colleagues across LJMU to bring you a range of workshops and development events.
- ACTivator Programme
- The ACTivator Programme provides a range of development opportunities targeted at supporting staff to fulfil their research potential and ambitions. All sessions are open to all staff.
- Aurora Programme
- Aurora is delivered by Advance HE, aimed at enabling more women to develop the leadership side of their careers and so address the under-representation of women leaders in the sector.
- Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers
- The Concordat aims to support the culture and environment in which research is conducted, benefiting both the researcher and the research itself.
- LEAD Programme
- The LEAD Programme provides a range of open workshops available to all staff to enhance their current and potential leadership and management skills.
- One-to-one support
- A range of individual support options are available, including coaching and mentoring opportunities, and you can speak confidentially to one of the team at any time.
- Appraisals
- The annual appraisal is an opportunity for all staff to focus on their progress, career development, reflection, future planning and development.
- Employment Guidelines and Documentation
- An A to Z of guidelines to help with any employment queries.
- Recruitment and Selection
- Guidance and support on all stages of the recruitment process is available.
- Staff Development Funding
- Staff who are interested in undertaking formal qualifications have the opportunity to apply for apprenticeship funding for internal and external programmes, and to apply for a fee waiver for internal programmes.
- Digital literacy
- As part of our commitment to increasing digital literacy and skills, LJMU has partnered with LinkedIn Learning to provide all staff and students access to its vast range of resources and learning tools.
- LinkedIn Learning
- LinkedIn Learning is an online platform available to all LJMU staff to support your personal and career development.
- Staff eLearning Modules
- There are a number of online modules that new staff need to complete, and existing staff will re-complete intermittently.
