Advertising

The aim of advertising is to generate interest from potential applicants by attracting a sufficient number of applicants who possess the necessary skills, experience and qualifications to do the role effectively. It is important that the advertisement is an accurate representation of the role and engaging to read to generate interest. A misleading advert may result in a large number of applications, many of which may be unsuitable, which will result in wasting valuable time and resources reviewing them, or result in a successful candidate being identified, but not enjoying the role as it is not what they expected.

The HR team have developed an advertising template (Word, 21KB) that hiring managers can use as a starting point.

The template contains a standard corporate header and footer, including an introduction to LJMU, a summary of our main benefits and HR will add a relevant diversity and inclusion statement when publishing the vacancy.
