Lucy is programme leader for BSc Nutrition & BSc Sport Nutrition at Liverpool John Moores University. Lucy is registered on the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVN) with duel registration in Food and Public Health. Lucy's research interests are within the discipline of Weight Stigma, Fat Studies and Health at Every Size. This research explores how and why people make the food choices they make, which social constructs influence these choices, and using qualitative research methodologies Lucy is exploring the performance of embodied fatness. Lucy is currently conducting a study on living with a fat body in a society focused on personal responsibility for healthy behaviours.

Teaching interests are; Sociological/Anthropological Aspects of Eating behaviour, Holistic Behaviour Change, Health, Food
Choices and Appetite, Politics and Policies for Health and Food Production/Choices.
