I am a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at LJMU and a Trainee Health Psychologist.

My research interests are health related; my PhD research looked at type 2 diabetes risk screening in dental practice.
I am interested in diabetes related research, health screening, risk communication, theoretical models and behaviour change, and psychological research conducted in the dental setting.

I am also interesting in public health; particularly infant feeding. Previously, I have worked on a research project looking at the psychosocial predictors of infant feeding in the area of Stoke on Trent. More recently I have been working collaboratively on a project looking at the marketing of feeding bottles and teats designed to replicate breastfeeding, and the impact this feeding equipment has on intention, continuation, success and overall experience of breastfeeding in UK parents. The research project was awarded grant funding from BA/Leverhulme / Wellcome Trust, allowing us to gather important qualitative data from across the UK on parent experience, adding to a suite of cross-disciplinary infant feeding research studies.
