Public and Allied Health

Faculty of Health

I am a Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care at LJMU, teaching on BA Health and Social Care and BSc and MSc Public Health programmes.

My research interests include promoting physical and mental health in later life, including understanding how we can best prevent and manage conditions such as frailty, sarcopenia, depression and anxiety, through interventions such as exercise, nutrition, health education, natural products and behaviour change interventions. I also have an interest in how green spaces support physical and mental wellbeing. My main research methods include evidence reviews, trials, qualitative research and surveys. I currently supervise three doctoral students and a range of MSc dissertation projects.
