I am an aspiring PhD candidate working on exploding transients. I started my PhD in October 2021 and have mainly worked on supernovae (the explosions of massive stars) discovered by the Zwicky Transient Facility but I'm also interesting in gamma-ray bursts, tidal disruption events and other strange objects that explode in the night sky.
In May 2023, I began a new role as a Graduate Trainee Tutor alongside my PhD, the programme is designed to increase the diversity, as well as promote inclusivity and representation of marginalised groups in higher education. I continue to progress through my PhD whilst actively delivering and contributing to teaching at LJMU in addition to studying for the PGCAP qualification.
