Steve is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Liverpool John Moores University. He completed his PhD at the University of Manchester in 2021.

His work spans a range of critical issues including cultural value, crime and entrepreneurship with a particular interest in the causal impacts of public policy.

He has produced high-profile reports for the UK Home Office and the Runnymede Trust. His work has been recognised in both academic and public spheres, with frequent contributions to media discussions on economic issues.

He is module leader on a course in Contemporary Economic Policy.
