Lisa is Head of Management Development & Innovation at Liverpool Business School, with a focus on driving industry engagement and knowledge exchange. Lisa leads LBS strategic partnerships, including a flagship collaboration with Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, fostering innovative solutions in healthcare leadership and management.
Before this, Lisa was Programme Leader for the MBA, MSc Leadership & Management Practice, and Senior Leader Apprenticeship at Liverpool Business School responsible for shaping curricula that equip future leaders with the skills to navigate complex management challenges.
Lisa's research explores the development and implementation of systems and place-based leadership within the public sector, with a focus on health and social care, alongside the pedagogical frameworks that drive leadership development, preparing professionals to thrive in dynamic, real-world settings.
With over 20 years of experience in and alongside the NHS, Lisa's previous career centred on governance, performance, innovation, and quality improvement. She led and supported large-scale transformational programmes across health and social care systems, at national, regional, and local levels, working with diverse organisations to deliver impactful change.
In addition to her academic and healthcare leadership roles, Lisa bring extensive board-level experience, having served as a Non-Executive Director and Chair across the private, public, and voluntary sectors. These roles have enriched her expertise in corporate governance, strategy, and executive oversight.
Lisa is a Fellow of Advance HE, a Certified Management & Business Educator with the Chartered Association of Business Schools, and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
